Processing Alliance boosts international business success

The NürnbergMesse Group organises six trade fairs for the global processing community. They are now working together as the Processing Alliance to provide their customers with even better international support. Anyone wishing to expand their business activities to markets such as Brazil, China or South-East Europe can use the NürnbergMesse network on site to take the first steps or to deepen their business relationships. And, of course, suppliers and users from international markets are very welcome when POWTECH TECHNOPHARM opens its doors in the autumn.

A world map shows the locations of the networked trade fairs that have been brought together in the Processing Alliance. More than just POWTECH TECHNOPHARM: The NürnbergMesse Group also organises processing trade fairs in China, Latin America, and Athens. Now they are joining forces.

The importance of networks cannot be overestimated. This is especially true when it comes to international business. Without local contacts, it is extremely difficult to enter new markets in most countries. They provide insight into local market conditions, business practices and cultural differences. If you have expansion plans, especially in complex sectors such as pharmaceuticals and food technology or the chemical industry, you should start by building personal relationships. In the medium term, these can lead to collaborations and strategic partnerships. Insiders in the network can also help to identify political, economic, or legal risks at an early stage. A strong network also increases credibility and strengthens the trust of potential partners and customers in the new market.

With the new Processing Alliance, NürnbergMesse supports its customers - exhibitors and visitors - even more than before in establishing and expanding international networks. It bundles leading events that the exhibition company organises worldwide for the processing community. However, the alliance is not an end in itself. The close cooperation is intended to create synergies from which all those who want to network more internationally can benefit.

Pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, food - promising markets

The Processing Alliance combines the strengths of six specialist events:

  • FCE Pharma, the leading event for the pharmaceutical industry in Latin America. It covers the entire production chain including containment and packaging. It will next be held from 10 - 12 June 2025 in São Paulo, Brazil.
  • FCE Cosmetique, which is an important hub for collaboration in the cosmetics industry, covering the entire supply chain from raw materials to production and packaging, in parallel with FCE Pharma.
  • analitica Latin America, also in São Paulo, which addresses the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries, among others, with its range of technology for laboratories, analytics, and quality control - next time from 23 to 25 September 2025.
  • The IPB - International Processing Trade Fair for Powder, Bulk Solids and Fluids, the counterpart to POWTECH TECHNOPHARM in Germany. It is regarded as the leading ‘one-stop show’ for powder, bulk solids, and fluid processing in China. From 21 to 23 July 2025 in Shanghai, it will offer international customers and visitors the opportunity to present themselves and network in the growing market for the 22nd time.
  • The combined Foodtech & Global Pack exhibitions in Athens, Greece, which attract decision-makers from the food and beverage industry, particularly from South-East Europe. Together, the two shows cover food production as well as packaging, storage, and transport. Packaging solutions for other sectors such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and general industry will also be on show - next time from 7 to 10 November.
  • POWTECH TECHNOPHARM in Nuremberg, which is dedicated to the processing of powders, solids, and liquids. This international trade fair in Europe is currently expanding its focus to include pharmaceutical technologies. It continues to attract visitors from a wide range of industries including chemicals, food, cosmetics, ceramics, construction, minerals, and energy. In 2025, the exhibition in Germany will take place from 23 to 25 September, together with the FACHPACK packaging exhibition and the PARTEC international congress.

Strong partners and affiliates drive success

The members of Processing Alliance are among the 120 or so trade fairs and congresses in NürnbergMesse's portfolio. Strong local partners ensure access to and customisation for local markets, such as the exhibition and publishing company FORUM S.A. in Greece, which has been a subsidiary of the NürnbergMesse Group since 2019. The Chinese IPB is organised by NürnbergMesse China together with the Chinese Society of Particuology. In Brazil, the organisation is in the hands of the subsidiary NürnbergMesse Brasil, which has been in existence for 16 years and organises a total of 15 exhibitions.

The Processing Alliance strengthens the loose network of processing events organised by the NürnbergMesse Group. The aim now is to develop synergies between the exhibitions and to support each other. Above all, however, the focus is on the exhibitors and their benefits. If a customer of an exhibition wants to put out feelers in the direction of new markets in Latin America, Asia, or Europe, he can get in touch with his existing contact person or directly with the coordinators in the respective national companies. They will show which activities could be useful as a first step into the new market and how NürnbergMesse can provide support. The Processing Alliance partners can, for example, arrange contacts between experts and managers in the relevant industries and thus help to reduce market entry barriers or establish strategic partnerships.

Support from potential analysis to market entry

A visit to a trade fair in Brazil, China, or Europe, possibly as part of a future visitor delegation, could be the next step. Anyone interested in an initial trade fair presence at one of the foreign subsidiaries will be actively supported. Country-specific joint stands in the targeted market are also conceivable.

This also applies, of course, to suppliers from international markets who want to prepare for market entry in Europe. The POWTECH TECHNOPHARM team will be on hand to demonstrate the potential and, if necessary, arrange contacts with potential technology partners. A trip to Nuremberg for the next event can thus be well prepared. The various fringe events at the exhibition are ideal for informal discussions. Interested parties can also benefit from the accompanying events such as the Expert Forums or Virtualtalks. In this way, the international character of NürnbergMesse and the new Processing Alliance can become a booster for the international business success of customers and visitors.
